🕹️ Welcome to The Arcade Experiment

This is a recreation of the classic Donkey Kong Arcade Game made in Unity. Step into the Arcade and play some Donkey Kong! Oh one thing it's only the first level. Also this is a project made for a University Class made by two people and yeah.  I the programmer tried my best to make it work out with the short amount of time I had but this is the outcome. Hope anyone who plays this game enjoys.

Features a fully synced 3D diorama system, arcade-accurate "hit-stop" mechanics for that crunchy game feel, and a dynamic audio system that seamlessly blends from the 3D room into the cabinet.

⌨️ Controls

🚶 In the Arcade (Free Roam)

• Move: W A S D | Gamepad: Left Stick
• Look: Mouse | Gamepad: Right Stick
• Interact (Sit at Cabinet): E | Gamepad: Y / Triangle (Button North)

🎮 Playing the Cabinet

• Insert Coin: C, 5, or Left Shift | Gamepad: Select / Back
• Start Game: Enter, 1, or Space | Gamepad: Start
• Move Jumpman: W A S D | Gamepad: Left Stick
• Jump: Space | Gamepad: A / Cross (Button South)
• Lean Camera (Toggle): Q (Left) and E (Right)
• Pause Game: P
• Exit Cabinet / Stand Up: ESC

🛠️ Developer Notes

Built in Unity utilizing the New Input System, custom state machines, and a specialized scaling script to bridge the invisible master level logic with the 3D diorama rendering. This prototype was developed to showcase modular gameplay programming, system architecture, and dynamic input handling.
